How to Connect computers via Uplink

Please note, this is an Innerspace feature, and unrelated to ISXOgre. However, here are some common issues people have when trying to set it up for the first time.

  • Do not have connections enabled.
    • Right click on innerspace, select Configuration.
    • Ensure you have a unique name (make sure it's not the same as other computers). Note: Don't assume you know what is in this slot on your other computers, check. Your "COMPUTER NAME" doesn't matter, its' what is in this spot inside of innerspace.
    • Ensure you have "Accept incoming connections" selected. If it is not, place a red dot, hit apply, close EQ2, close innerspace, and restart.
    • Your window should look something like this.

  • Didn't "connect" them.
    • You have to tell innerspace to connect to your other computer. This can be done via an MCP button.
    • Load ogre MCP. [Command: ogre mcp]
    • Click on the Other tab.
    • Far right side, press "Connect".
    • Wait about 5 seconds.
    • Press "List_IPs".
    • You should see LOCAL HOST (your own computer), and a listing of any other computer you entered into the UPLINK INFO tab in Ogrebot.
    • Note: You will have to "connect" them any time innerspace is closed and reopened (note EQ2, but innerspace itself).
