  1. Save/Copy the ISXOgre install dll in to the Innerspace extensions directory
    • (different dll than the isxogre dll)
  2. from the console ingame run ext ISXOgre
    1. if you have not set up EQ2 in inner space in order to use the console you have failed in the following directions portion of the skills test.
  3. enter you username & password into the popup window
  4. wait patiently for the files to download.
  5. Gaze in wonder at the new world of possibilities open to you and begin to play.

Setup

  1. setting Ogre to load automagically is fairly simple
    1. Right click the innerspace icon
    2. select configuration and then select your EQ2 Game config (top) & Game profile (botom) and the and hit the startup button
    3. Add a new item call it Ogre(or whatever you desire) and for the command enter ext ISXOgre

Custom UI

In order to use Ogres login feature you need to use the custom eq2 ui login scene.

  1. If you use a custom ui just copy the ...\InnerSpace\Scripts\EQ2OgreCommon\DoNotShareWithOthers\eq2ui_loginscene.xml into your custom ui directory.
  2. If you use the defaut UI then create a directory in your eq2 install UI dir called myUI or whatever and copy the eq2ui_loginscene.xml into the new directory.
  3. now edit your eq2.ini to includethese 2 lines
cl_ui_skinname myUI
cl_ui_subdir UI/

EQ2Chars.inc

The last one time setup step needed is to configure your EQ2Chars.inc file
Do not ever share this file. Nobody but you needs the information in here. The file is found in ..\InnerSpace\Scripts\EQ2OgreCommon\DoNotShareWithOthers

Movement keys

  • starting at line 15 if you have any movement keys set different from the defualt you can change them here

Uplink

  • After movement keys the next section is Uplink. If you use multiple computers at once you want to set this section so the bots can talk to eachother.
  • Change computername1(2,3,4...) to your computer names (or local IP address works as well)

Character Information

Lastly we add the character information

  • If you just want a toon on the authorized to send commands lsit you only need to set the toons name
  • If you want the ogre login feature to work you must set the toons name, account password, account name and servername (Freeport, Guk, ect)
    • Once again DO NOT SHARE THIS FILE
Setting up characters Cast Stack Support
If a character does not have a Ogre Profile, the default profile will be loaded. The default profile is designed to get you started but it is not tailored to your character at all. It is up to you to set the options and preferences and casting orders to get the most out of your toons. Play around, try different things, ask questions. It is up to you to maximize your play experience.

  • After loading a toon, in the in-game IS console type Ogre
  • then type ogre export
    • this will export your toons spells and abilities so the bot know what you can cast
    • now is a good time to make a sandwich this will take ~2-3 min
    • while export is running don't do anything in game, just let it run.
  • With export and a default profile complete, you have the bare minimum set to begin playing. Now is a good time to begin to learn your classes and what the various options in the bot do.
V17 was built around having more choice. Previously, you had a Priority Tab, a NamedCA tab, a CA tab, and a few others. And these were done in order. Meaning, once your entire priority tab was done, then it would move onto the NamedCA tab, then once it was done, it would move onto the CA tab.

When ToV came out, it made debuffs VERY important, and this created a problem for priests mainly. You couldn't have a heal heavy spec, and expect to have it cast a single debuff, let alone "early" on when it was important.

V17 introduces a new tab, called "Cast Stack". Any "ordered" ability goes into this tab. This means anything you previously put into the Priority tab, NamedCA, CA, PowerHeals, all goes into this new tab. It allows you to decide the order.

You could now have an order like this: (Example shaman)

  • Combat -> ST Ward -> Tank
  • NamedCA -> Debuff_ability01
  • Res -> Tank
  • Heal -> Tank -> 50%
  • Combat -> Group Ward -> Tank
  • etc etc.
You can make up the order. The type of ability, does not matter. You have every single ability in 1 tab.
